care bear stare

Look at the photo of this cinema entrance, its racially segregated. If you look, the door on ground floor says ‘White Men Only’, and the words on the staircase say ‘Colored Admission 10c’. Found it on Wikipedia. I can’t imagine living in such a society.

Weirdly though, it makes me feel nostalgic. I think its the Dr. Pepper advertisement. I used to drink lots of it when I was in an American school, now I miss it. Hmm. I am now delving deep into my childhood. Haha. Isn’t it funny how some things just spark off your memories? Here’s a list of my nostalgic items:

  1. Aquafresh toothpaste
  2. Beige Carpets
  3. White wooden furniture
  4. Orange berries
  5. Those small red flowers you always play with-honeysuckle?
  6. Mangoes
  7. Lego (isn’t this universal?)
  8. Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc
  9. Lawn mowers
  10. Rabbits

Oh I seriously miss my childhood. Its funny how my brother hates his. So…what are your nostalgic items?

Étrangement, je me sens nostalgique.

like a bastard on the burning sea

I’ve got some really beautiful photographs to share with you today, by Barry Underwood. The photos are of real light installations he’s set up, and they look really surreal. I usually don’t like ‘nature’ photography, but these are brilliant. Moths Wings by Passion Pit really fit these photos. More here.

some color on monochrome

This advertisement’s really great. And I love the song (Daylight, by Matt & Kim).

(UPDATE: I realise a surprising number of people can’t tell what’s going on in the commercial. Its a man, walking through parties of different eras all the way back to when Bacardi started.)

Go listen if you haven’t heard it -the video’s below, its really cool.

Caijia and I are OGLs. Woohoo! Lets go partner!

I really want to watch American Psycho. And I’m really sorry, realise I haven’t been posting in French!

Ben! On y va!

Je veux vraiment regarder American Psycho. Et schouis desolé!! J’ai oublié de poster en français.

when sunshine comes around

Last Thursday was great. Had a class barbecue -thought it would be terrible with the rain at first, but after a while it just got better and better, and I started to have fun. It kind of crept on me. I just didn’t expect to, I was super pissed off. Anyway, we had glowsticks. Amazing fun. We danced with them and took some really cool photos.

I always like to do things like this, playing with cameras and lights when I’m bored. Turns out there’s a whole art movement of ‘light painting’, and its amazing what you can make. Check out these:

Nice right? But ours are nicer. Haha! Then on Friday was Gabriel’s ‘housewarming’. Haha. I need a dog or a cat. A grey one. And I’d care for it so much better than Gabriel! Wadee and I fed them, and they were so hungry! I think they haven’t been fed for days.

You know, I get an average of around 20 viewers (of this blog) daily. Not much, I know, but why do I get like zero comments? Comment people.

I really like this song. Hm. WordPress doesn’t seem to be able to just upload the music itself. Annoying.

Wow I wish I had these shoes. They’re really cool. And Swedish I think. (I just ate Swedish meatballs, haha.) Adios!

it’s far too early in the morning

UPDATE: And I dedicate this post to Adeeb the stripper, and his mentor SLUTTY CHUTTY!

I just discovered the Puma Index. Haha. Its been around for quite some time…news reaches us late in Singapore. Kind of. Well not really, its just harder to get it.

From the site: “The PUMA Index is a global stock ticker with a twist. When the market goes down, our models’ clothes come off – right down to their PUMA Bodywear. So if you lose your shirt, at least they do, too.”

Haha, now this is what I call creativity in advertising.

I’m really really excited for our class barbecue tomorrow! More than for our 07V13 ‘chalet’, haha. I’m not sure why though. Let’s pray that the clouds withhold their wet wrath, and that the weather’ll be nice like it was today when I was up in the treehouse.

Yes, I just got iPod earphones for $2.50 on eBay. Haha, I’m so pissed that my nice red Audio Technica ones broke. Good audio quality, bad make. I HATE YOU.

Why do you bite the hand that feeds you? Adios, suckers!
